My chicks finally arrives - no pasty butts, look healthy and active. They ate and have been drinking the last 3d - but they sure do sleep alot. Temp is 95. And quiet too. When I am around them they perk up and are very skitterish but otherwise very sedate.

Is this normal?? I almost feel like they are TOO quiet and sleepy.

If they awaken when disturbed, peep, scratch, eat and drink, then they are acting normally. They do sleep a lot. If you watch on camera, they do this 24 hours under the lights and really don't sleep for long periods. Lights out and they sleep longer. We do have to continue the heater lights until fully feathered.
