2 days ago I had a chick hatch in the incubator (these eggs came from broodies who hatched a couple then got off). I put him under my broody hen. Now tonight another hatched.
the hen is in the dog house and hasn’t left yet with the new chick. She did get up and walk around today. Can I put this chick under her too?Or is it too risky. Need a quick answer as it’s bedtime and I need to get it under her tonight if I am going to.
Also worried another won’t hatch for a while and he could be a loner

did you try to put her under the mamma? If she didn't reject the first she may do fine with any extra's. Some hens are just very good mamma's and accept them all :)

no I was worried so I didn’t. Shes out with her chick now so it may be a good thing since at less than a day old I don’t think the new one would be able to keep up. So hoping another hatches soon
