First off, I'll have you know I'm two seconds away from hanging these two dogs. Small dogs aren't my friend and she and the puppy got ahold of my barred rock pullet.
She has a half skinned head and some other possible injuries.
I'm a vet tech, but my clinic doesn't do birds.
I have the baby in a dog crate in my bathroom, but what do I do?!
I keep reading that they're resilient so I don't want to kill her!!!
But if it's the right thing to do.....

All the feed stores are closed now, and even my clinic is closing shortly.
Anything I can get at a drugstore? I feel HORRIBLE!
The dogs are likely going to the pound tomorrow as I've had it with both of them.

If it just happened try to clean it with peroxide (only this once, it can do damage to healing after the first cleaning) bactine and neosporin! Be careful not to get anything in her eyes. You may want to put a stich in it depending how bad it is. Keep her separated from the rest of the flock, they will pick at her. At some point you will want to give her some time with the others so they dont reject and pick on her when she is added back to the flock. I recently had a fox attack and it wasn't pretty! She had a huge gash in her side. This is what worked best for me. I didn't stich it but I think that would have saved some healing time if I had. My crazy girl never stopped laying!!! She is all healed up now. It's a process for sure but they are very resilient!!

It literally just happened like 20 minutes ago. I'm worried about getting something in her eyes because the injury is so close.
I'm scared of checking on her because I'd feel horrible if she died. I'm a chicken about death.
I just feel horrible! I read about putting garlic in her water and some electrolytes.
I have neosporin with a pain killing agent in it. Should I try that?

Also, if I'm keeping her inside, should I get some kind of substrate for her kennel since it's just a towel right now?

Try to cover her eyes with a small towel, maybe a facecloth. It should keep her calm while you put on ointment ect. as well as avoid getting anything in her eyes. I did put garlic and honey in my girl (Charlotte's) water until I got to the feed store to get the stress aid(electrolyte stuff). I kept her in a dog crate in the garage with pine shavings, food, water, and a nesting box. I also saw on some feeds people recommend using something called blu kote or blue lotion. I don't recommend it, it set us back about a week in healing. You also want to watch out for flys, they can lay eggs in the wound and then you will get maggots! Yuck! Thankfully that never happened to us.
I know it's hard and you feel horrible! The fox that got Charlotte also killed Dottie, that was in March. Then we got comfortable and let them free range again and a different fox got Eleanor about two weeks ago. I know about feeling guilty!! Now I carry them one at a time to there "free ranging pen".
I hope she makes it through the night. Don't be scared to check on her.

Iv'e read numerous times on here not to use the neosporin with the pain killing agent, it's apparently toxic to chickens. Just use Neosporinw without the pain killing agent.

I'm going to kick myself if I just killed her by using neosporin...
Her injuries dont seem to be too bad, just looks awful since its her head. Possible skull visibility. I'm nit going to poke her too much to find out.
She pecked me while I was cleaning her! Good sign!
I am hoping to pick up some vetricyn tomorrow if I can find a place to get it... Dont think my clinic sells it.
If not vetricyn or raw honey, is there anything else I can put on it to help her out? Im not sure I can find raw honey tomorrow but I'll try!
I never thought I'd like a chicken, let alone enough to want to snuggle it because I feel bad :(

How did she do overnight?
I actually used polysporin, I don't think we have neosporen in Canada. I used the triple antibiotic ointment. I just used regular grocery store honey. It's all I had at the time.
