i'm going to post a correction on my previous post. I had forgotten that you need something on top of the shavings or they may try to eat the shavings the first couple of days. I put puppy pads down on top of the shavings & that worked well for the first few days.

Update on the sand. I think I put in too much of the sweet pdz stuff. It's getting dusty. I hope it warms up lots in the next couple of days because when my wife sees dust on stuff, the birds are out the door. I need to go clean up before she gets home.....
