Hi,
I have a chick that hatched this morning about 2 hours ago. It's not up and moving around yet. Peeps loudly, but isn't walking. I saw this torn spot on it's abdomen. Any ideas what this is? Is there a way to help it? I don't want it to get infected. The injury is on the side with the leg down in that red abdomen area. The chick can move both legs up and down and the actual drumstick area doesn't appear hurt. This chick took forever to hatch and I'd hate to see it not make it, but I've got no ideas.
