I recently got some fertilised eggs, one has gotten out healthy, the other was healthy until my chicken pecked him/her, he/she is bleeding like mad inside the egg, I know I need to dry out the blood vessels so he/she doesn't bleed to death, but what is the quickest and safest way to do that?
Please respond quickly, I don't know how long he/she can survive.

Kwik-Stop styptic powder will stop the bleeding, but if you don't have it on hand, corn starch can be substituted. Apply with a q-tip. But it's not always fatal. I've had hens that helped their hatching eggs too much, and the chicks did live. I've also had chicks that pipped into a blood vessel that made it out okay, as well. When incubating eggs, you have to be okay with the reality that some will die, even if everything is done perfectly.

Thank you, the bleeding stopped, I fear she/he lost too much blood and doesn't have enough strength to fully get out of the shell, but without this method, I think she would've died in the egg, thank you for helping!
