Infectious Bronchitis (Cold)

Called the chicken “cold”, infectious bronchitis comes from a type of coronavirus and has several subtypes. Symptoms may look much like a human cold with nasal discharge, coughing, difficulty breathing, depression, and huddling together. If one chicken has a cold, within a couple of days all of your chickens will likely have a cold. This affects chicks under 6 weeks of age the most, and they have the highest mortality rate. There are vaccines to help prevent infectious bronchitis, but the prevalence of subtypes and mutations makes it difficult to completely prevent. There is not much you can do to treat besides raising the temperature 3-4℃. Chicks that are sick with a cold are very susceptible to secondary infections, so keep them clean with good food and water. Aspergillosis (Brooder Pneumonia)

Aspergillosis is caused by a fungus. The spores spread in warm, moist, dirty environments such as a dirty incubator or brooder. Aspergillosis is not spread between birds, only environmentally. Chicks are especially vulnerable because the new cilia in their throat aren’t matured enough to move the fungus spores up and out. Symptoms include open-mouthed breathing and gasping for air among other respiratory symptoms such as nasal discharge. They may also have nervous system symptoms such as tremors, inability to balance, and head twisting. Symptoms may look similar to Marek’s disease and is typically diagnosed by microscopic evaluation of the fungus taken from the internal respiratory system. The best prevention is to keep everything clean and remove wet litter. There are treatments when chicks become ill such as Nystatin and Amphotericin B, but they are expensive. The spores can infect humans, as well

Some things I found off the internet.
i don’t know what to do with these birds anymore
i keep the brooder as clean as possible and change the shavings every 2 to 3 days
i have washed the brooder with bleach and let it dry in the sun twice
i have given them the B1 vaccine and supplemented their water with electrolytes and multivitamins specific for them (got it from the vet)
i have been giving them diluted antibiotics (also from the vet) in their water
i have raised hundreds of chicks over the past 4 years and not once have i experienced all this
i dont know where they could have gotten the cold no one in the house is sick and the chicks are always indoors and haven’t had any contact with any other animal or bird

I'm really sorry! Mine have finally quit dying, but it's so discouraging! I figured you knew what you're doing with them and didn't really think you were overcrowding or leaving their brooder dirty. Comments like that can be so irritating when you know you're doing everything right! I'll pray that they stop dying and start getting better! How many have died so far?

i’m glad yours are doing better and i hope that no one experiences this because it really is exhausting and nerve wrecking
so far 5 have died since they started this whole thing

Has the chick been eating and drinking?
yesterday it was drinking and eating just fine
i dont know what it is but whatever is happening to them it happens fast one day they will be playing around the other theyre unable to move
i tried isolating it from the flock so i put it in a small box with food and water but it didn’t make it
