Chick brooder heater idea

I have this heating pad, but a little larger, from some puppies in the past:

The surface heats up to 105F. I was thinking about making a small stand and mounting it upside down as a contact warmer for some new chicks as a substitute to the Brinsea Ecoglow as they are unavailable. Anybody have any thoughts about the project?

Ok, this is what I did.. I took some scrap plywood and cut three pieces. Two leg pieces and one piece for the heat pad. I drilled holes at 1/2" spacing on the legs to allow for height adjustment. I attached the pad to the largest piece and assembled the entire unit. I placed it in the brooder and the two new babies LOVED it. Here are some pics of the assembled heater:
