Chick can't get into air cell

Hello,

I have some eggs under a hen which were sent through the post but they have detached air cells. I have candled last night and this morning to see one of them pecking to try and get into the air cell. BUT! This morning it is now well pressed against it but i can see the air cell just kinda billowing around its beak ie it obviously didn't get through because the air cell is dodgy. Any thoughts on what to do? It's still moving its beak just not as vigorously... its more a waving of the beak rather than a peck like it was last night.
Thanks :)

I can't think of anything you could possibly do.
IMHO, at this point the eggs need to stay under the hen and they'll either hatch or they won't. But their chances are going down the more they are pulled from under the hen.

Hmmm... I left them under the hen but i've taken them to the incubator this morning. They are still doing exactly the same thing even all this time later.
I should add, today is day 22 and these are bantams which I've done before... they typically hatch day 19 or 20.

Maybe read up on the thread about assisted hatches if you haven’t already and decide if you want to try assisting or not. Good luck. Keep us posted.
I assisted during my last hatch and chick is 9 weeks old now and in great shape. Mind you mine had pipped. It is risky though.
