Chick can't get off of uumbilical cord and it's been 12 hours

So last night one of the are chicks hatched we woke up this morning and she is still on her umbilical cord and it's been 12 hours. Do we need to help it or will it eventually get off?

Don't take it off! if it is starting to get infected or something you can gently rub on a little bit of iodine. But just don't remove it!!!! Once, we had a baby chick and we thought the cord was pasty butt so we got it off and she didn't live through the night. It will probably fall off its self.
