Chick can't walk

So, let me start from the beginning. This past Wednesday/Thursday, I had a broody hen hatch five chicks. One of which hatched quite a bit later then the rest. When it first hatched, it wasn't having any problems walking or anything. The day after it had hatched, I woke up to find the back of it's neck completely bald and bleeding. I figured that it was the other chicks and that if I left it with it's mom it would probably get worse. So ever since, I have had him inside with me. During that time, he spent most his time sleeping. Because he wasn't walking as much than they usually do, i would put him on the floor and encourage him to walk around. He wouldn't exactly stand up straight, he would lift himself just a little. When I went to check on him this morning, he would barely ever walk and when he did, he would either fall over or walk all lopsided. Other than that he acts completely healthy and happy. Any ideas on what I should do?

sorry that your chick has a problem! try feeding your chick cooked egg yolk, that makes them stronger. if the chick looks like it is swimming when it tries to walk, than it is to late. the only way to fix 'swimmers' is, when they are brand-new, you tie their legs closer together with a pipecleaner. you know you have a 'swimmer' when your chick can't hold its legs under it like normal chickens do, and instead its legs splay out to the sides. i hope your chick gets better, and i hope my advice helps you!

The first thing I did was go and boil an egg, so he has been eating that. I don't think it's a swimmer 'cause I have had him on a town the whole time, and it's not splayed legs. It has it's feet under it like he normally should, it just can't seem to hold itself up.
