Chick Chat Medfor NJ March 19th 4-H chicken Nutrition and Chicken Chat

The only problem I had was a splitting headache or I would of stayed longer. I'm glad my daughter wasn't with or I would of ended up buying all the Barred Rock chicks.

I am guessing in the 70 range. Not great but not bad either. Maybe I could do something in between the farm fair and the cranberry festival? I am open. I will talk to the 4-Hers this week and see what the kiddos think about it. I will keep you all updated!

Hi. What kind of fertilizer would be safe to use on my yard? I let my two hens out to graze.

Hey boppa!

I need a bit more info from you? What are you wanting to fertilize? Your whole yard, a garden area? PM with some more info and the scale and I'll do some research and get right back to you!

Hi - I'm a few months late to this thread - is anyone still there? I would have attended your event in March, but I didn't know about it! I vote YES for another one!

I'm in Pemberton Borough and I have 2 bantam roo's and only 3 GSL's. I need to find a home for these guys - does anyone know of anyone who would trade roo's for hen's in my area? They are both 12 weeks old. Here's a picture, albiet blurry - you know how fast they move! The one on the left (Prince Charming) has been pulling my pullets tails and I'm afraid he will only get worse. His crowing is improving by the day though. The one on the right (Snow White - she was white when I got her) does blood curdling imitations of Prince Charming crowing, but does not show any aggressive behavior.

Thanks! I'm so excited to find some BYC's in my neighborhood!!
