Chick/Chicken Feed Switching

So... I've heard rabbits and other animals can be sensitive to different food. You have to gradually change it and use transitional feeds and mix and all that kind of thing... I haven't seen a transitional chicken feed yet, but I'm wondering if chickens are sensitive like that. I had assumed not, but I had planned to give my chicks (when I get them) medicated feed for a few days since to my knowledge they are un-vaccinated. After one or two 5 lb bags of that are gone, I'd switch to another (unmedicated?), less expensive feed. That feed is designed for up to 10 weeks, so after that I'd be switching again to another feed for 8 weeks before they're supposed to switch for layer feed (and I may very possibly be switching layer feeds to see what I/my chickens prefer). Anyway, now that I think of it, it would probably be wise to make sure that the chicks won't mind all the switching. So would they?
