Hi All - I have a color question for you guys. I had a hen who flew over the fence and disappeared a few weeks ago. I assumed she had been eaten but when she showed up four or five days later and was in crazy broody mode I realized she had a nest hidden somewhere. I found it, moved it, and 11 of 13 babies hatched overnight. The hen came from a mixed pen that houses three breeds of roosters and a mixed bag of hens. I didn't intend to breed from this pen but what're ya gonna do!
All of the babies are blue or black except for this little guy and I can't figure out what color he might be. Based on parent color my hunch is plain old splash or blue splash but there are some random color genetics at work in the parents so I'm not positive. What do you think?
Based on the comb and clean legs I'm 99.9% sure that I know who dad is. He's a Wyandotte roo who I got from an egg swap. he came from a pen with a blrw roo over blue, black and blue splash hens. Mom was an extra from the same swap and came from a pen of blue/black ameracuana hens with a blrw roo.
Thoughts? Or am I just going to have to wait until s/he feathers out to see. I'm dying with curiosity

Baby (suuuuper light bluish... Almost lavender but not holding onto that hope with very, very light yellow on his chin and underside:
