Chick coloring

Does the chick coloring indicate what the hen will look like as it matures. We just got our babies in and I wondered why they were so amazingly colored and do they retain any of the coloring as they grow.

What kind of chicks do you have? Chick color is not always the same as adult color. For example, my New Hampshire chick is yellow, but is growing red wings and will be red when she is grown. That is part of the fun!
