Chick contest ~ WINNERS~

these chicks are about 8 hours old they are from a leghorn hen an EE rooster what is special about them is they are twins I unknowingly set a double yolker my leghorn always lays jumbo eggs that don't fit in egg cartons and so i didn't think twice when I set it since she has never laid a double yolker. To my surprise at 8 days i see two chicks swimming I was going to cull the egg but I thought that the egg might be big enough for two and it was and no health issues with the chicks. No names yet since these are 2 of 14 chicks of my barnyard mix for my aunt to start a flock of her own birds

This is our 1 week old Plymouth Barred Rock that my little 4 yr. old insisted naming "Cinderella"....what'cha gonna do??? LOL! This is our first time brooding chickies. We're having a blast!!

This is our 1 week old RIR that my 5 yr. old named "Edna"...we don't know anybody named Edna, funny kid! Looks like she can't believe the size of her feet.
