Hi I'm starting to breed my quails when I raised my first quails I used chick crumb from dodson and horrel but had too little protein I love in England can someone suggest a really goof chick crumb for baby quails with high protein thats avavaible in England

Game bird feeds are usually higher in protein. It's what I fed my quail. A quick search brought up Marsdens brand.

How did you get hold of the food did you have to ring your nearest pet supply food or did you buy online because I cant see to find how to buy it

I take it going to a feed store isn't an option? Feed for animals isn't considered necessary with covid? I would try Amazon or call local shops to see if they carry game bird feed. Any game bird feed would do in a pinch. Or can you order some bugs online to add to your chick feed to increase protein?

I would call your nearest feed store. Ask for game bird starter, turkey starter, or non-medicated chick starter. All should be around 24% protein and up...

Call them and ask. There's no way we can know that. Pick up the phone and give them a ring... Calling the pet stores wouldn't be my first option though. I would call Feed stores or feed and seed stores.... whatever they're called over there. They specialize in poultry and livestock feed and usually their prices are much better than pet stores or something like a tractor supply, for instance.... tell them you're looking for a starter crumble with the highest protein availiable. This will usually either be a game bird starter or a turkey starter...

As for specific brands I can't be much help but I would think any non-medicated starter crumble with 24-30% protein would work just fine...
