Chick crumb to growers pellets

Hi everyone at what age did you give your chicks growers pellets, we have heard mixed things and just wanted to know through people who have done this themselves. Thanks in advance

My chicks start eating pellets (20% meat bird mini pellets) as soon as they are big enough to eat them, usually around 4 weeks old for large fowl. My bantams take longer to start eating them simply because they are smaller birds.

I think it partly depends on your particular pellets and the protein and other nutritions in it. Usually there is an age recommendation in the bag, as well as the size of the pellets and the bird, like I allude to above.

Good luck, everyone has different opinions its really up to you . If you buy your feed from a real feed store, most sell only starter grower mix. At least where I live.

Same here, I can only get grower in crumble, but it is fine because I can feed my meat bird pellets to everyone (hens, chicks, roosters, guineas, turkeys)
