If it takes 18 days for the chick to develope and 2 days for it to get in position to hatch on the last day why do you have to maintain the temperature above 95 degrees because that is what your start at brooding the chicks. So would it be OK to run between 95 and 99.5 the last 3 days incubating. If it is already developed at day 18 all we should need to do is maintain warmth and proper humidity. Any thoughts on this?

Was trying to think of why some don't hatch and thought maybe temperature may play a part in it. Later on I may experiment with some eggs and incubate at 99.5 F for 18 days then drop it to 95 for the last three days just to see what happens.
