Hi has anyone have any ideas why 3 of eggs didn't hatch. I broke one open and the chick was full term but none managed to hatch? I had another 12 in the incubator from a different source and they have all hatched fine. Very frustrating!!!

:welcome

It could be those particular eggs failed to loose enough moisture and aspirated. It is normal to have a couple that don't make it for whatever reason. Had it absorbed the yolk? Was it really wet, extra fluid in the shell?
Were they different breeds? Different sized eggs?

Hi Amy the York hadn't been absorb. Yeah the 3 eggs that didn't hatch were a different breed. All the eggs were similar size. There did seem to be a lot of fluid in the egg.

Then it's probably those eggs had thicker shells so the moisture loss was slower than the others. I'll give you a link on humidity that has an egg pictorial for air cells so you can see how to judge the air cells to see how they are growing. http://letsraisechickens.weebly.com...anuals-understanding-and-controlling-humidity

Thank you
