Is the chick showing any other symptoms other than droopy wings? Is the chick eating/drinking? Does the poop look normal? Is s/he active or lethargic? Any sinus drainage? What conditions do you have the chick in? Have you separated the chick from the others,if so I would do so. I can't really help until I know more droopy wings could mean a lot of things.......

Hi she is in a brand new coop with 4 other chicks. She is eating and drinking. Stool appears to be normal no blood that I can tell. She seems alittle lethargic eyes closed more often then others. I did not separate yet. U will.
Thanks Anthony

I would give her some electrolytes and see if she perks up,you said you just got them yesterday, she could be a little bit stressed from all of that. She also could be hot, chickens will drop their wings to help cool off as well. Make sure she has access to some grit, and have you tried offering her a treat and seeing if she perks up that way? How is her breathing? Labored panting ? Opening of the beak as if gasping for air? Have you checked her feathers for the possibility of parasites? Sorry for all the questions just trying to help.

I appreciate the questions . She is not panting l just checked her and no parasites. I offered some vegetables and she did peck at it. I don't have grit but she is pecking in the dirt. Will get grit today. Thanks for being so helpful I'm so glad a found this site :)

I would look at symptoms for Coccidiosis. Cocci is a parasitic infection of the intestinal tract. Spread by droppings which get into feed/water via droppings. Most birds have some cocci in their sml intestines, only becomes a problem when they have an overload then we medicate to bring it back under control(very common for chicks to have an overload) Some symptoms are runny/watery poop(may or may not contain blood, depends on the strain of cocci)fluffed feathers, lethargic, weight loss, not eating/drinking properly. Cocci can kill very fast. If symptoms match, purchase Corid(amprolium). Dose for Corid 20% powder is 1/2 tsp per gallon of water, dose for Corid 9.6% liquid is 2 tsp per gallon of water. Treat ALL chicks for 5 days,do not give vitamins during treatment(interferes with medication)give vitamins after treatment. Chicks on medicated starter feed can have an overload of cocci. Treating chicks for cocci will not harm them, but not treating(if they have cocci)will probably result in deaths.
