I have a chick that pipped the shell a few minutes ago. The egg is dripping fluid and the chick is spitting out fluid and gasping for air. How do I help it to try and survive. It is a silkie if that makes any difference.

Chip out the egg around the head, put it back in to absorb the yolk, straight up pointy side down.

The beak is clear of shell and membrane and up right in the incubator. Now I guess it's a waiting game.

The chick is still breathing. I pulled the shell and membrane away from its beak and nostrils. Don't worry I didn't break any blood vessels when I pulled the membrane away from the beak.
