I have a mixed flock totaling 9 in a brooder, this one is a frizzle that is 4 weeks old. Last night when I went to check on them and she was trying to walk and kept falling over. One time fell over on her back and struggled to get back up again. I thought maybe she had a broken leg or toe, but she has feathers on her legs and feet so it is hard to see anything obvious. I removed her from the brooder because I didn't want her to get trampled. I put her in her own brooder with food and water and she laid on her side with her legs out to the side, not under her. I checked on her this morning, I did not see any poop, but she did poop an hour later and it looked normal, not runny or dry, but was covered in shavings so I can't see details. She still is keeping her legs stretched out when she is laying down and looks stressed. I picked her up to hold her for a while to see if I could figure out what was going on. She feels bony to me (didn't notice that when holding her previously) and I laid her on my chest and her eyes kept rolling up in her head, but then she fell asleep. She seems more comfortable if I am holding her body and her legs can hang below her, she's able to "cuddle down" like she normally would with her legs tucked under her. I held her in my hand over her food and water and she wanted nothing to do with it. I dipped her beak in the water and nothing. Any ideas what is going on. I honestly can't tell if it is something with her legs or neurological because she just looks so off balance with her body and use of wings. Help?
PS - I don't know how to tell if a crop is full, that area just feels like a bone to me so I guess the answer is no. She does not have droopy or runny eyes either.
