chick falls over, etc.

Well this is odd behaviour.
I have three Sumatra chicks, four weeks old.
The littlest one sometimes falls over acts like he can't get up, flails around and peeps really loud.
I pick it up and hold him awhile then he is fine and acts normal.
Any ideas?

The quieting when you hold him sounds like he thinks you are mama. Could the other behavior just be dust bathing, playing, sunning? Or even trying to get you to pick him up?

I posted a similar question for a chick with similar symptoms. One person treated their chick with vitamins and cooked egg yolk. I tried it but ended up putting it out of it's misery. I don't know what causes it - maybe hatching conditions?
Here's what one person said: I read about this and will say it is heart failure

It may mean the chick had a bad time hatching
The vit's it needs is Vit E and Vit B complex and that should make the nervous system come around

I was wondering if it was something from hatching.
Thank you for the link to the symptoms chart.

He has only done it a couple of times and he recovers quick quickly. I will get some liquid vitamins for their water and see if he stops.
If not, then I guess I will take it from there.
