Darla, my blue white crested polish chick is gaping after she drinks water. She never gapes any other time, only after she drinks water, like she needs to take a second breath. There is no wheezing or any other problems that could indicate sickness. Darla, along with my three other chicks are a week and five days old, they are on medicated chick starter and they have been on Corid for the past five days since i noticed some red stuff in their poo, today is the last day on that. She's acting normal and eats like a chick twice her size. I don't know if i should worry about it or what, it might be nothing but i figured I'd ask somebody just in case.
Thanks in advance.

what type of waterer do you use ?
I am not entirely sure what you mean? It's a plastic jar type thing that screws onto the bottom and i just set it in the corner away from the heat, here's a picture -
I've used the same on since they got here and never had any problems.

if it's a bowl type they stick beak in most likely submerging nostrils
I use the nipple type to avoid that
Good to know, i did just take the marbles out today for a good cleaning, i had them in to prevent the chicks from falling in and drowning when they were still figuring out how to walk good, I'll get some poultry nipples but I'll add the marbles back in for now. Thank you very much.
