Chick gasping in egg?

Hello, I’m hatching 13 quail eggs and I noticed that one of the chicks that externally popped today is now gasping within the egg. I can see it through the hole it’s broken but I don’t think it’s normal. Does this mean it’s dying or is it a humidity problem? It’s day 17 for the quails and I have them at a humidity of 65.

Lower the humidity to 40-50%. Gasping isn’t good, but do not help it yet.

Chicks will usually make a yawning motion when they are absorbing the yolk. I would say that that’s what your chick is doing. Keep us updated and good luck with your hatch!

So the chick that was gasping died. Now I have another problem. One chick hatched with curled toes. Do you guys know what I should do for him?
