Chick got pooped on.

She’s half-feathered so maybe not a chick, but I think it’s irrelevant…one of the big girls pooped on her back. I saw it yesterday morning and I was hoping she’d dust bathe it off, but it was still there this morning, albeit smaller.

Right now, it’s 101, and she’s out there aggressively dust bathing in cool soft dirt, so I can’t even tell what’s poop and what’s dirt.

If it’s still there later, do I need to give her a bath? I’m worried it’ll attract flies and do something terrible. I’ve seen awful photos on Google.

I think it will be fine, but it wouldn't hurt to wash it off.

I’d just wipe it off with a paper towel.

use a water wipe or something similar like an unscented wet wipe… and just work at it till you can get most of the crusty dried up stuff off.
