HI Ya'll
I bought some chick grit from my local TSC called Manna Pro Chick Grit. I would like to know when they can eat the chick grit (what age)... Also how much do I give each chick? Is it possible to give each chick certain amounts? I know you dont really need chick grit unless you feed them anything els besides the chick starter. I geet them dried mealwoms and other treats. Thanks!!!

give them a plate of it. They will eat as much as they need and then leave it. I started out giving it to mine when I would give them sliced up tomato and sprinkled it on top of it.

Now I just put some in a small plate for them to nibble on ever few days. Remember treats are treats and to not over do it.

BTW mine are mauling me for those worms so be careful

we keep a bowl of grit, (sand from the creek) for all our chicks. we have 7 week old girls and some 2 weeks old. put an old plastic coffee can lid with sand for our little girls and a 9x12 foil baking pan full for the big girls. they love it and we have not had any pasty butt since starting the sand feeding. the one that had the pasty butt, cleared up right after we started the sand.
