I have a 12 week old turken. She developed a case of sour crop, as this was being treated on day one she got into some spilled chick grit and ate a substantial amount. I have cleared the infection, but she is still pretty distended and full of rocks. She is not impacted, she is defecating and still hungry/thirsty. How long will the grit stay? Can I use something to help her pass it? With this poor girl if it's not one thing it's another.

You may need to gently massage the crop up if the crop is hanging a bit low so the grit will move from the crop into the proventriculous.

Offer pieces of chilled coconut oil for her to eat, at least 3-4 times a day. It will help to pass the grit.
