Hi all,
I had a broody hen hatch out three chicks yesterday. She seems to have taken well to two of them but has pecked at the other one (it was the first one to hatch so possibly she panicked as she’s a first time mama?)
It has some quite large wounds near the eyes, the eyes themselves look ok and the wounds have now dried, scabbed over and look clean. I have it indoors under heat at the moment as I’m too nervous to try putting it back in with hen and the other babies, I think (but don't know) while it sill has dried blood/wounds she's likely to attack it again? It’s eating and drinking well and moving around strongly.
I'm worried I may cause harm by keeping it on it's own, and not sure how soon (or if at all) I might be able to try putting it back in with the others.
Does anyone have any advice please?

Pictures of the chick and injuries would be helpful. For now you can but antibiotic ointment on the injuries and make sure they stay clean and aired (to prevent infection) I would keep the chick away from the mother.

Thank you. I was a bit slow trying to upload photos!

Thank you so much for replying. This is the best photo I can get at the moment (I was a bit slow trying to upload it to my main post!)
