CHICK HAS WORMS ?

I think that I saw one of my chicks with what looked like a tape worm dangeling from it's bum. Do chickens get worms and how do I treat them ?

Yes, chickens get worms. How old are your chicks? Are they outside? If your chicks are still in a brooder I would make absolutely sure they have worms before treating them, I've never heard of chicks in a brooder getting worms.

It may be tricky trying to get the correct dosage for young chicks. Many people use a cattle wormer, you could also try an herbal wormer if they do indeed have worms.

I have heard of ppl using diatomaceous earth to de-worm their birds. it also can be used to keep down flies and mites.

yes, chicks are outside so do I need to treat all my chickens or just the one ? can I buy a de wormer ? or is there something else that is effective ?
