Chick hatched 3hrs ago and is bleeding

This is my first time hatching eggs and we had our first baby chick hatch around 7pm. It seems fine and moving around, but just recently it started chirping louder and there's blood coming out from his butt. Is this normal after hatching? Is there something I can do to help?

Sorry, not normal I dont think I have never had this happen, however the experts will have to tell you what it is for sure! Hope he makes it!

Thank you...I did take him out as I was concern and clean him up a bit and it seems he's bleeding from the stomach area. Could this be from his umbilical cord perhaps?

Dip his little bum into some corn starch (which is an accepted substitute for styptic powder) or in flour to stop the bleeding. Try not to block his vent.
