First chick hatched and is doing strong 3 days ago and is in the brooder going healthy about it’s business, second almost hatch never finished unzipping and passed, I removed this egg.
now my third hatchling hatched at 8 am today. This one is wobbly and hasn’t stood up correctly at all yet, globs around like a drunk dinosaur occasionally, but not much at all. I came home after being gone an hour and the chick is slowly drying, but laying on its side and appears to be gasping. The chick chirped a lot pre hatch, during its hatch, and now I’ve heard seldom peeps come out. Is this normal for the first 24 hrs? Is there something I’m not doing I should be. The incubator is set to 37.5 and the humidity is “just right”

for this stage in the process of still having chicks who haven’t pipped in their eggs yet, but some who have hatched. It’s day 24 for incubation.

24 days is a little long, did you calibrate the thermometer of your incubator? If it's low, it will take longer for chick to hatch.
That’s what I was thinking. Yeah, it was running just fine compared to our trusty one here at home and then I had my husband compare it to another from work. The thermometer was running correct, at least when we started the incubation.

Welcome to BYC! Sorry to hear about your chick. Is he still breathing? Is he moving, cheeping or anything?
He flops around once in a while, I’d say once every 30 minutes/45 minutes. He’s breathing, but I’ve only herd him chirp a few times today and very lightly. :(
He’s semi dry, but won’t be fully dry until morning around his 24 hr mark. If he’s still alive should I give home some garlic/A.C.V./raw honey water and take him out or just leave him?
I’m tempted to pull him out, but I know I could do him more harm making him cold or pushing him to hard.
