do i need to intervene and get it to drink? she has 6 more silkie eggs to hatch! The maran egg hatched 24 hrs early! just not sure when they need to drink and if she will get up to do it!? Also its our first peeper and the most amazing thing ever.

The mother hen will take them out when she’s ready after all the other eggs have hatched. I know what you’re going through because we just had to do it eight days ago and I was so anxious I lost sleep for a couple days worrying about them.

Babies don't actually need to eat or drink for up to 2-3 days (which is why they can be shipped via mail). Keep an eye on things, otherwise let the mama handle it.
