One of the chicks hatched and had a swollen elbow joint in it's leg. It seems to be able to pull it's leg inward toward it's body but it can't fully stretch it outward. It looks red and swollen and maybe dislocated. What should I do, today is it's second day out of the shell?

You need to get it off its legs. Its the tendon that has slipped from its place. Search up chick chair or sling to find out what to make for it. There is a thread on here somewhere about how to fix the tendon. I don't remember what its called.

Say it is some how possible to sling my 3 day old chick and keep her off of her foot, mind you she is not using the other foot, she holds it upright as if the joint is fused. It kind of looks a little twisted or dislocated or slipped tendon could definitely be a possibility. Is some thing that's going to heal itself and become normal or is she going to be limping forever?
