I had a broody hen hatch out 12 chicks, three of which have leg deformities/issues. One hatched with spraddle leg, another with fused toes, and now this one with a third leg and extra toe on the the otherwise normal leg. I'm wondering if I should leave the extra limb or remove it now to avoid injury in the future as its connected to the otherwise normal leg. I've given it the spraddle leg brace as its had trouble keeping the dual legs underneath itself. I have also taped its foot to correct the curled toe. Any advice would be helpful.

Leave it alone. Please!! It will do more harm than good. Remove the chick and give it extra nutrients/nutridrench.
I have, it's doing good so far and is slowly figuring out how to walk. I should get a better picture later on, but it has such a strange deformity. I haven't been able to find a similar case of polymelia yet. The extra leg is actually connected at the hock. There's even webbing inbetween the two legs. After checking on its curled toe today, it doesn't seem to have any bones in that toe.

Wowza...
