FB65BE8C-2491-4DDE-88C9-F3136CC3B914.jpeg I had some Cochin bantam eggs that are due to hatch soon. I noticed an egg piping and kept a close eye in it. I just went outside to notice blood on other eggs and the piping egg had blood around the pip and a tiny bloody wing sticking out. Thinking it was dead as it wasn’t moving or peeping I took it out and opened the egg to see an underdeveloped chick and a yolk sack still attached. The chick was peeping so I put it in a bowl on a towel with the egg still attached in the incubator. I don’t know what to do and hoped someone would have some advice.

That's a lot of yolk. It's unlikely he'll survive. I'm just pointing this out to start with.
But hey, nothing was ever gained by not trying.

My best successes have involved putting some sort of antibiotic/antibacterial on the yolk so that the chick doesn't contract an infection. High humidity--you want that yolk sac to stay moist. A normal incubation temp, because the chick will absorb yolk faster if he's warm. If he starts to kick around, there's some danger of damaging the yolk, so try and keep him as still as possible.

    Good luck.

Thanks for the help! Sadly, I think he has already passed away. He was just too young.

I'm sorry for your loss :(

Maybe the chick's egg was too small so it hatched early? Poor babb

Do you have anything to use as a styptic? You want to try to stop the bleeding if you can
