CHICK HATCHING 3 DAYS EARLY!!!!

We have another one hatching, so I think when they were put in when they were developed on day one so they are hatching a day early.

Or your temperature is too high. Did you calibrate your thermometer?

I followed the directions to a T it said to have the temp at 38.0 through out the 21 days and 1/4 a cup of water every 2 days

Did the thermometer cone built in with the incubator?

I'm just wondering..... does anyone know how long a chick can be in the bator for?

I would take them out as soon as they are dry. If you are using and incubator with a built in thermometer, it's very likely the thermometer is off (they are notorious for that). Before hatching again, I would suggest buying a thermometer that you can calibrate. (Look up how to do that)

I solved it, the chicks umbilical cord looked like it just came from the shell and has not fallen off yet so we cut it off but not too short.

I guess I got the hatch date wrong I have 3 chicks. And one under mamma that is hatching.
