Chick Hatching need help!

Hi i have 1 chick hatching right now and he/she is about halfway out. it has its head and wing out. Now my boyfriend was looking at it because it is wiggiling but wont come out and saw that it has a vein from its butt to the egg. what should we do? should we just leave it alone?

Are you sure it's not the umbilical cord?

im not sure because this is my first time ever hatching eggs. It is still attached to the egg and to the chick so im not sure what it is.

Hey,

Just leave it alone. It will kick off the lower half of the shell and the cord will fall off on it's own.

Once it drys out the shell will break off. DON'T touch it!
