I have a video of a chic hatching but it won’t let me download it to this site. Any suggestions! It’s 5 min long!

How long should i leave it in the warm incubator? Last one died after i took it from the incubator.

You can remove the chicks once they are dry. They can remain in there up to 48 hrs if you do not want to open the incubator for any reason. Once out of incubator, put in brooder quickly. I believe for videos you post on you tube and just post the link here.

Thank you! Is’s a small incubator but i will wait till tonite or maybe tomorow morning. The other one died during the nite in the brooder!

So i have 2 chicks that are a week old. Should i separate the new one or will the other chics pick on the new one?

I'm sorry to hear you lost a chick. I usually leave them in the incubator long enough to fluff up. Do you have a heat source in the brooder and a space for the chicks to get away from the heat?

When possible I try to keep newly hatched chicks separate for a few days before putting them in with older chicks because they're very sleepy for the first couple of days after all that hard work hatching.

I left the new chic in the incubator for about 30 hrs till it was dry and moving around good. I then put it with the week old chics and just watched for a few hours and it is doing fine. will send pics next. Thank you for the advise.

One of my chicks didn't make it because i separated it and put it under the heat lamp. It may have not been able to move from the heat souse so again thanks for the advise.
