one of my 4 chicks has a bit of poo around its vent. The chicks still eats drinks an poos what should i do. also what should baby chicken poo look like ?

Clean the poo off with a warm wet rag. Or hold its butt under warm wet water until its soft and gently remove it. Poo can come in many different colors and consistency. Unless its bloody, I wouldn't worry.

Yes. Vent should always be clean and "winking."

ok have cleaned poo of vent it is clean now and "winking" the chick is eating drinking like the others. But just below its clocca there is a solid abcess im not sure what it is any thoughts ?

Every time I wash poo off, I blew dry their bottoms. I would was under warm running water.

All poo must be removed. Otherwise it could turn out fatal if they get pasty butt for the young chick.

Could the "abcess" be the umbilical cord? Some have posted on here about that, and if you try the google search above you might find that it is something normal.
