chick ID question

Can a Rhode Island Red chick have stripes down its back? I'm just trying to figure out which chicks are which.

If a RIR chick has a darker red dot/splotch on the back of its head then it is a girl. They don't really have stripes though...

(the one at the front-right facing the wrong way is a RIR girl. also, the one at the front-left facing the wrong way is a female too.)
