Days old chick in distress. Won’t quit chirping. She’s not acting like her flock mate. I have lost 4 chicks so far. One each day after purchasing at local store. I noticed before they passed that each one’s wings were sticking out slightly away from their body. No pasty butt, however, seemed bloated. Last of the 6. One is normal and one not. Attached are rear end photos. The one in distress is loosing fluff in one area. What are your thoughts about what’s going on?

That is pasty butt in the 1st & 3rd pic. Picture of your brooder set up would be helpful.
What are you feeding? How is your brooder set up; temp? Are you giving any electrolytes/virtamins? Have you notified the store you got them from?

Clean off the pasty butt with warm water & soft rag/towel, dry off. Do this as often as needed. You could get the Electrolytes/Vitamin packets from the feed store, or use ACV in the water (1T/gallon of water) Make sure it's Apple Cider Vinegar with the Mother/undiluted.

"Just a couple of drops added to a quart waterer can be given to your chicks. ACV helps to keep bowels regulated and should prevent pasty bum issues which can quickly kill baby chicks if not treated"

Mother vinegar in the water. Cleaned an dried her behind. Here’s my brooder set up. In the coop, under the nesting boxes. Allowing interaction with my two hens. I’ve been feeding free crumbles, soaked crumbles, and electrolytes in their water since getting them. I’ve done this with all my new chicks. This is the first time I’ve experienced this. Thank you for your advice.
Brooder set up with heating pad mother hen 😊

Fourth picture with the hunched over chick next to the white dish... That floor looks wet and wetness like that is a perfect grounds for bacteria to grow.

What's your weather like right now? Is it hot where you are?

I'd stop getting the feed wet immediately if I were you.

It hasn't been hot since getting them. Nothing out of the ordinary. Wet food stopped. Although I haven't had an issue with it in the past with my other chicks. The food and water are on a boot tray so the food they kick out stays contained. Water is refreshed daily. The wetness you see is fresh wet food I had given them that they just kicked out of the lid.

Have you ever had to treat your flock for coccidiosis 8n the past?
As I've mentioned, I haven't had any issues before with loosing chicks to disease. I've also ordered them unvaccinated. I've lost only to predator and only when they were months old and at roosting age not needing the Mother Heating Pad. The only exception was recently, I lost 1 week old chicks due to a rat getting into the coop. The last pasty butt chick didn't survive. The one left (Little Bit) is thriving.

Coccidia is every where...always. Especially if you have older birds in the coop. Just because you've never had an issue before doesn't mean you never will. The pasty butt issues can be from it being too hot or too cold. Usually it's too hot. The wet feed can grow mold quickly 8fin a warm environment. Much fast that dry feed could so it's best to eliminate things that could potentially be an issue if you are losing birds to narrow down a reason.
