Chick in need of HELP!!!

I have a white mountain broiler about a week old. Noticed today that she sounds very raspy, almost like a duck. When she is sleeping she has raspy breathing as well. Her crop seems to be large so we massaged it and put some EVOO down her throat to break up the impact. She never "threw up" now she is in the brooder and seem to be the same but the crop is softer. I have done numerous searchs on this site and others and I did what was the majority concensus, was it the right thing to do?

Baby chicks are developing fast, and the crop might look big but it is unlikely it is impacted. Unless the chicks are eating pine shavings or straw, most often the crop issues resolve themselves.

I suggest checking the crop in the morning, when it should be relatively flat and empty. If it's still hard and full then, you have a problem.
