Do you have coconut oil, Vaseline or any type of ointment you could put on it? You don’t want the organ to dry out and die.

@Eggcessive should the organ be coated to be pushed back in or is it okay if it dried out a little?

If you aren’t going to attempt to push it back in for now, you will probably want to keep it coated in something until your vet can take a look or decide to try to reinsert it yourself.

Let’s see if @Eggcessive has anymore advice. I don’t know if trying force it in is a good option if you aren’t sure when it is protruding from.

I’m afraid this chick won’t make it because if that is the crop it will become dried out and may become necrotic. The skin needs to be covering it. It can’t stay outside of the skin. Has the chick been eating or drinking? Is it passing droppings?

It’s been eating drinking and pooping like normal
