I have had chickens for five years and currently happily have six chickens in my backyard in San Francisco. I'm coming out with a children's book in the fall, "Gwen the Rescue Hen," about a chicken that miraculously escapes an industrial factory farm. This is the second in a series of children's books on escapes factory farm animals. The first was, "Sprig the Rescue Pig."

No, I don't have rescue chickens. I only started in November and didn't want to learn/experiment on a poor girl that already had a rough life. Ya never know what the future will bring though.
