Hello there!
My name is Jennifer and after about a years worth of research on chickens, and convincing my hubby, I (finally) became a chick mama on mothers day!
I currently have 4 chicks and I have no idea what breed they are (hopefully someone can help me with this later). I haven't been doing this to long, but I know I'm going to love having fresh eggs every morning plus the added benefit of teaching my daughter and niece some responsibility.
My other hobbies included just about any thing outdoors really. Hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and just being outside really. I also love to read and I am a music junky. My family consist of myself, my husband Tim, and our daughter Addie. We also have 2 dogs, a German Shepard and a Lab and now our 4 chicks, Henrietta, Karen, Trudy, and Gertie! I'm a nurse and my husband is a man of many hats, working in the trucking industry, in addition to being a fire fighter and an EMT throughout 4 companies. BYC has come up multiple times when I was doing research and I finally joined when I saw a question asked that I was confidently able to answer!
