I had to set up a NICU for one of my chicks. He has been very lethargic, trying to move but not being able to do much, barely opening its eyes, and has curled toes. This is the only way I could secure it in a cup to try to give it time to develop more. I also gave it vitamins and some sugar water. Do you think it will work? It can rest its head inside the cup. Its just won’t yet. I will try to post a video showing what its doing if it will let me.

go to the feed store or tractor supply and buy a bottle of Bovidr Labs poultry nutri-drench. It is much better than sugar water because it doesn't need to be digested. It mainlines directly into the bloodstream, measurable in minutes. Doesn't stress the developing G.I. tract while the tract is developing. Has much more in it than just sugar water. give one drop onl by mouth. If needy, repeat every 8-10 hours until chick is perky.
Then put 1 1/2 teaspoons in a quart waterer for the next 2 weeks. here's the website: http://www.nutridrench.com

you need to get the Drench into the bird before an imbalance in nutrition starts to cause a cascade of body system failure resulting in death.
Best,
Karen

Just to update, the chick hung on for a few days, but I found it dead yesterday morning. I guess it was just meant to be, but I was hoping for different. Thank you all for your replies.
