Hello, I have several nearly 2 week old chicks. All but one are progressing at a rate that seems normal. However, I have one chick who is 1/2 to 1/3 the size of the others (no bantams were ordered). She's a bit wobbly and far less energetic than the others. She drinks and appears to be eating (as she is still producing solid waste). Any ideas? She's the upper right-hand one in the pic.

Hmm it might just be a small kind of chicken, but you said it wobbles... Maybe it has a leg problem? Is there any swelling or bumps or maybe a deformity?

She looks healthy. Someone could o possibly slipped a bantam cochin in on you but because of the wobbles I would like to recommend a chick vitamin for her. Its possible she also could be bullied away from the food if she is low in the pecking order.

I have been giving her a dose of vitamins in water which always seems to perk her up. I'll have to more closely monitor food and see if I can't set something up for her.
