Sunday night we had 7 out of 12 new arrivals. Yesterday I noticed one of the chicks would walk but not very far, sit, bob her head and go to sleep. Not always but most of the time she laying down sleeping. I first thought was dehydration but she eats and drinks. So I jumped on the learning center and forum. It doesn't seem to be splayed. I have checked for slipped tendon, both legs look fine at the joint. I then noticed that she leaned/sit on one leg so she is on the entire lower portion flat on the ground. Then my daughter noticed that the same foot the toes were not as flared as the other. She is the sweetest of brood and the first to get a name. The daughter and grand kids love her the most. I'm a newb so use small words and if the news is the is the worst be gentle. Thank you for all the help. Cameron

What does the bottom and inbetweens of the toes on the less used foot? And what type of bedding are you using? I'm not very keen on pin pointing whats wrong with others chickens but the first things that come to mind are bumble foot or a vitamin deffeciency. Both are fairly easy to treat as long as its not able to get to far along.
